The human body is comprised of so much more than just physical attributes and chemical elements. There also exist larger subtle energy fields which surround and inter-penetrate the physical body, a system through which life-force energy flows. Referred to as the aura, contained within this auric-field are seven major energy centers called Chakras through which life-force energy is processed. Each of these energy centers is associated with specific organs and endocrine glands in the physical body, and also with specific sound and color (light) frequencies:

Reiki is founded upon two precepts:
i) In order for true and effective healing to occur, a change in conscious and spiritual awareness is required; healing begins with the spirit and within the self.
ii) There must be an appropriate and equitable exchange of energy of some form between participants, the healing practitioner and client which honors the healing that is being given.
Reiki precepts and principles provide the foundation for all Reiki teaching. The traditional principles are offered as affirmations that are repeated either silently in the mind or vocalized prior to or at the beginning of a Reiki session. These affirmations assist in creating a focus and intention in our meditations and for our healing work.
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will not be angry.
Just for today, I will live honestly.
Just for today, I will respect the oneness of all life
Just for today, I will be kind to everyone I meet.
As an alternative to the traditional principles, I use the following “I Am” affirmations:
Just for Today I Am Grateful for All the Blessings in My Life
Just for Today I Am Free of Anger, Doubt, and Worry
Just for Today I Will Be Kind and Respectful to All Sentient Life
Just for Today I Will Do My Work Honestly and With Integrity
Affirmations should always be created and spoken in a positive sense as they assist in creating positive thinking and outcomes. The use of the “I Am” declarations brings a focus into the “self” where all healing originates. Also note that the word “not”, a word that carries a negative connotation, is removed from the affirmations as it is counter-intuitive to an affirmation and creates an undesirable “not” energy.
The emphasis on “just for today” allows us to focus our awareness in the present moment, the “now” of our “being”. The affirmations enable us to release any toxic energies that may have accumulated in our bodies through anger, worry, and doubt. Holding on to these self-limiting e-motions is detrimental to our well-being; they create stress and dis-ease in the body, mind and spirit, a serious impediment to acquiring a healthy “holistically” balanced life.
Following and expressing these principles on a daily basis enhances our ability to achieve inner balance, creates peace and harmony in our bodies, benefiting us with a good temperament and outlook, self-assurance, self-respect, love for the self and others, and ultimately leads us to the realization of better overall health and well-being.
Day 9 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp
It is appropriate to begin this introduction to Reiki with a prayerful invocation and blessing. In this manner, as we begin our journey along this healing path we have chosen, we set the intention that our practice of Reiki serve as a benefit to ourselves, enabling us to discover and experience our connection to the infinite soul, and also in the healing of others who may benefit through our healing practice.
In This Moment
I Open Myself to Divine Love and Wisdom
Connecting to My Higher Self
I Accept and Allow Divine Presence To Flow Freely Through Me
Divine Love is Profoundly Present in Every Moment of My Awakening
I Trust It Completely
I Expect It’s Presence
I Give Thanks For What It Teaches Me
The human “being” is a marvelous creation to behold, full of infinite potential and possibilities, and the practice of Reiki is a wonderful and thoughtful way to begin exploring, learning, discovering and understanding the fullness of being human. Every “individual” soul on this beautiful planet is capable of experiencing the “holistic-self”, to regain, experience, and truly know the peace and love that resides in the human heart and spirit. Reiki is just one of many paths of self-discovery and healing that may help guide us to a deeper understanding of our infinite capacity to love, our capabilities to re-create our lives with loving intent, our ability to heal ourselves and others as we evolve and grow in our practice of Reiki.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key), is a Japanese word made up of two characters: “Rei” which translates as spiritual wisdom or essence, and “Ki” (Chi in Chinese) translated as vital life force or energy. Ki is an energy that runs through everything at all times. It is this energy that binds all living things together. Literally then, Reiki translates as spiritual or “source” energy. The two characters together express the joining together of divine energy with the human being, the unification of the human body with the universal soul.
Life itself is possible only through the movement, use and exchange of energy. Reiki energy can be understood as a force that permeates, flows through and animates all living things. Universal life-force energy facilitates life, growth, healing, transformation, manifestation, balance, inner peace, oneness and an awareness through which we can discern and recognize deeper truths about our human nature and living energy on a broader universal scale. Reiki is a method of creating a conduit for the drawing upon this life-force energy and utilizing it to transform and heal “dis-ease” within ourselves and also radiating and channeling it outward in the healing of dis-ease in others.
Reiki healing practice begins with an awareness and consideration of the metaphorical heart. Accepting that we are a creation of the divine intent, divinely inspired so to speak, we allow the divine energy which is always present to first flow within us through the heart. It is with and through the heart that we begin to sense and feel life energy in motion, e-motion; It is through the heart we experience and come to know the love, the heart of our creator that exists within every living “being”. In realizing and manifesting this love that exists within us, we become free to pass it along.
Reiki is a simple and natural method that is utilized in the transferring and sharing of Universal life energy. In the practice of Reiki, the Reiki healer becomes a channel through which this energy flows, allowing the practitioner/healer to direct the flow of Reiki energy. In the directing of this energy to a person’s body, the healer is also simultaneously imbued with healing energy. Reiki reaches through all levels of existence and with practice, brings these differing levels into balance. Reiki has an intuitive intelligence or “way of knowing” of what is needed by a person. It is drawn naturally by the recipient to those areas most in need of balancing and healing. Reiki is an integrative adjunctive therapy which allows you to work on your own body and this is where Reiki practice begins. An adaptation from the story of the wounded healer Chiron advises: “healer, heal thyself”; Healing begins with the “self”.
[ Day 8 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp]
Writing speaks to the very heart of creation, it can be a wonderful healing experience; after everything is said and done, it is truly an expression and endeavor of love. This is something I have discovered over the past few days while participating in the blogging bootcamp (thank you Heather for opening the door).
When you embark upon a healing journey it is important to keep a journal, to take note of the changes in your thoughts and feelings as they occur. This is the one thing I wish I had done when I started my sojourn on this earth, now so many years ago. Putting your thoughts (insights) on paper or in a blog such as this (if you are so inclined), helps to clarify and bring into focus where you have been, where you are, and where you are going, and as you probably already know or have heard, if you don’t know where you have been or where you are, you can’t know where you are going.
Even if you are not on a healing path, writing is a healer as it always proceeds from the heart. It is an affirmation, a purification, a catharsis of the mind and soul. So, take the time to write each day, you will be creating a very positive habit, opening the mind and the heart to infinite possibility …
[ Day 7 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp]
So, today I am sitting here with this pearl I recently discovered. Starting only as a single grain of sand, a tiny grain of infinitesimal size yet infinite possibility has been carefully cultured over time by nature, formed into a state of being, a state of beauty reflecting the light of itself in a “wonder-full” milky iridescence.
Coming into a state of “ease” (notice the missing prefix dis-) and well-being is a process very similar to that of creating a pearl. It requires a careful and daily nurturing.
Every thought you think is like a grain of sand, a creative opportunity. Taking time out for yourself each day, every morning to give thanks and to quiet the mind allows you to connect with your own personal pearl, the infinite soul, the ascension heart, the source of your being. Take the time to nourish yourself, to cultivate the pearl that is waiting inside you. Allow yourself to shine.
(Day 6 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp (https://drheather.leadpages.net/blogging-bootcamp/))
The world is your oyster, and if you look, the pearls are there. When you take the time to quiet the monkey mind, when you let go of anger, forgive yourself and others for the disappointments and errors of that which has passed, when you let go of worrying about the future which only exists as a projection in your mind, an interesting thing happens. The inspiration of the infinite soul reveals the most beautiful of pearls, a great source of wisdom and knowing, the pearl of your heart.
(Day 5 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp (https://drheather.leadpages.net/blogging-bootcamp/))
Angelic Concepts and Infinity Angel Healing Pathways (currently under construction) came into being after I was introduced to the practice of Reiki healing in the summer of 2009.
For many years I had been struggling through what I and many other spiritual healers and teachers describe as the “dark night of the soul.” It took a while, it was not a miraculous “overnight” recovery, but through diligently applying the principles and practice of Reiki as a discipline I was able to climb out of the “darkness” and begin the healing of what I call the (my) infinite soul, a soul that I believe exists within and throughout all sentient being(s).
Being able to begin and end each day in a relaxed and peaceful state of consciousness, of mind, body and spirit is indeed a blessing with many benefits. It allows for a deep and profound healing, a knowing of the infinite light that exists in everyone and everything.
[ Day 3 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp (https://drheather.leadpages.net/blogging-bootcamp/)].
How you begin each day is important in creating and achieving a life of “well-being.” In the field of personal development, the reasoning for doing this can be derived from various sources, most recently referenced as an application of the “Law of Attraction”. For me, going a bit further back in time (quite a few years back), I was introduced to “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, a book written by Stephen R. Covey1. The daily practice of Gratitude – Giving thanks for and appreciating all those things that currently make up your life – opens the door to receiving more of those things that allow you to feel good, to “balance and renew your resources, energy, and health to create a sustainable, long-term, effective lifestyle.”
[ Day 2 -31 Day Blogging Bootcamp (https://drheather.leadpages.net/blogging-bootcamp/)].
Can you see the abundance in nature? I have been very blessed for the past few weeks: the wild raspberries are ripe for picking (yeah!!). Every other morning, I have taken a walk about to collect the bounty that nature graciously provides this time of year. So far I have gathered over a gallons’ worth in abundance. I can see some delicious wine being made in the very near future. I only need to find a good recipe (Do you have a good recipe?).
